McDonalds After the Baptism!

The Madike Family Is Baptized!

Hello!! Today was just such a great week!! First off to just make this week how it was brother Madike was baptized!!! I was great!! He cleared his interview with President Bertin and he got baptized that was great!! It was such an awesome experience!! Also crazy enough President Bertin his wife and the APs came to our baptism!! It was quite a crazy experience, and then president worked with me and elder Pedroza for a lesson haha can I say nerve racking haha! But it was cool to have the president work with us!! So cool! But the baptism went great.

Also with transfers coming tomorrow we all thought that elder Howell would be transferring to a new area... Nope I am staying for another transfer so that will be 7 and a half months in one area haha! Me and my trainee will have the same number of areas and yet I have been out for a year! haha! Surprised on that one! So elder Pedroza will be transferring and I am staying here again haha! So lets hope we can get more baptisms this transfer!! .

Also elder Peery is still my kabahay so that will still be fun. We get a long great.

But I just want to say how happy I am for the Madike family, they really are such a blessing and I cant describe how much they mean to me! I love them so much and I cant wait until the day they are sealed for time and eternity. So I just have been so blessed to be a part of the Madike family and bring them closer to Jesus Christ and his Church!! They are so great!! 

Then yesterday they took all of us missionaries out to dinner at Mcdo! Haha It was so fun talking with their whole family and just seeing them all together!! It was such a good time!! They really are my favorite family! I hope I can find more people just like them in my mission! But we had a fun time yesterday!

Everything is still going great and it looks like I will get to celebrate my birthday and year mark here in Mapayapa ward!! So maybe brother mike will throw me a huge party!! So that will be fun!! Brother mike is great!

I never thought I would be staying another here in Mapayapa but I will still work hard and continue to be obedient to all the rules, and I know that the lord will continue to bless me for it! 

I love this work and I am not letting up or letting go. I will go as hard as I can for as long as I can. I will not quite no matter how hard things may get, or how much easier it would be to give up. I love the Lord and I want to serve him until the end. I know I have been called of God here.

Lets make this another good transfer with my new companion.

15 Typhoons A Year!

Well not much to report this week. There was a Typhoon(15 times a year daw) we had no electricity for three days so it was hot. We couldnt go to work on Wednesday. Lots of blown over trees ha. Brother mike hooked us up and bought us food so we were good there!! Got to love brother mike!! There he is again saving the day. All our food in the ref was bad, had to throw it out(OUCH) So noodles na lang for lunch. 

I met the new mission president. He seems like a nice guy and he has some good ideas for our mission. He will just be hard to replace to Sperrys, they are my favorite. But them seem really nice. 

Yes I got my package... Yes I opened it.. SORRY.. What did you expect hahaha But it was dope as crap!! I loved it!! It made me feel so happy!! And FYI the camera is great! Takes such clear precise pictures! So thanks fam!

Um this week Madike Father got interviewed for baptism. I had to translate the interview cause our DL cant speak english. That was a interesting experience. But there was an issue that was brought up in the interview, and he has go get interviewed by president tomorrow. Lets hope he passes! I love that family, I would be so sad to not see the father get baptized after all the work we spent on them! But keep praying. The Lord will provide.

Elder Peery has a bakla investigator who is in love with him and thinks he is coming back to marry home haha thats a funny story.

Transfers are coming up. I am almost positive I am going to transfer, I have been in Mapayapa ward for 6 months. I like it a lot but I think its time to move on. The ward is just not supportive ha. Oh well welcome to the Philippines.

We went to the temple this week. That was beautiful. Saw elder Jackson from st. George. He went to pine view and he is dope. Go to his homecoming or look him up on FB Alexander Jackson. He is another one of my friends in the mish thats going home. 

Hope all is well with you guys. 

I need a work out program ah, I wanna get toned on the mish. So thats your homework to look and find an effective home work out.

But thats about it. Lots of rain right now in the Philippines. Its great!

Mapayapa Ward!

Hello mommy!! How is it going! Wow this week was great email wise! I got a bunch of pics!! I love pictures!! I wish I would get more and more each week! I love to see how much people are growing up!! Tanner is so tall! And he is wearing my clothes hahah! What a queer! He is looking good! When does he get his braces off! I feel like its pretty soon! But yeah! How was your fourth of July! I hope you guys had fun! Are you guys all geared up for lake Powell! I bet you guys are pretty stoked for that!! I am jealous! I wish that I could come and swim! AHHH how I miss swimming!! But i am almost done with the package! I think you guys will all enjoy the things that I am putting in it!! I think I might have gone a little over board but oh well! You guys better like it haha!! But I wanna see more pics that I havnt seen! I love seeing family and how every thing is!! How is the weather haha hot! Its now rainy season here it rains pretty hard every day! I am so glad I am not in a flooding area!! Plus I thought I would tell you this as a proud mother you are! We had a cleaning contest in our mission to see who could have the cleanest apartment wins a prize! Guess who won!!?!?! HAHAH this guy!! WHAT who says I am a messy person now! We had the cleanest house in the mission!! hahaah OH yaaaaaaaaaaa!! hahaah Love you Terri! 

But I am doing good also! All is well with me here in Mapayapa ward!! I love this area so much! Yesterday was fast Sunday so I bore my testimony cause it could be my last fast sunday here! I just told them how much I loved them and how they have a place in my heart! And then a lot of members either didnt understand me or just didnt listen but they think I am leaving today hahah! Transfers arent until July 30! Plus they all thought I was going home hahah like what the crap!! But multiple members came up and were thanking me for my service with tears in their eyes really thanking me for being in their ward! It made me some what feel like I was at home and that these people really do care about me here! So that was a cool experience! So I will be sad when I leave this area!

But yeah anyways every thing is really going good with us here! I am enjoying training so much! Elder Pedroza is a great missionary and we get a long really well! So I really have loved training him! Also all of our investigators are doing well! We are getting closer and closer to the Madikes baptism! And boy am I excited for that! That family really is a tender mercy of the Lord! And I feel like them alone are the reason I stayed in this mission! I love that family so much! They are great! When I go to there house I feel at home its funny! haha I hope they feel the same about me! 

But on Wednesday I went on exchanges with elder Peery! We are batch and he is freaking cool! Any ways it was great and people would just let us into their houses cause it was two pogi Americans hahah! It was pretty funny! It was a good day for us!

Then as we all know on Friday was America day!! Yipeee!! We started off the day by singing the national Anthem like a thousand times ahah! Then last week we bought Country time Pink lemonade!(which was expensive) with this huge container for it that was way classy, martinellis(the sparkling cider stuff) and a whole lot of Mcdo! hahah! It was great haha! We would just be like to people.. "do you know what today is?" "umm sir its the fourth of July" "yes do you know that that is?" "umm no sir" "ITS INTERDEPENDENCE DAY FOR AMERICA!!" haha it was great then everyone was like oh happy independence day! hahah good times!! I am glad that I had an American in my house to celebrate with!

We topped out at 30 LESSONS!

Hey fam!! I hope all is well in lake powell!! I am way jelly!! Make sure to tell everyone hello and that I love them!! I miss you all so much!! I hope you are all safe and CTR! Love you all so much!!

But this week was our best week yet!! We topped out today with 30 lessons!! I am feeling so acomplished this week because we are for sure leading our district if not our zone in lessons taught! Its been great because I am showing my kid the importance of working hard every week!! Also FYI I love me comp. He is so Christ like and such and example to me and other missionaries!! He is awesome!! Also on Tuesday we got our prize for winning the cleanest appartment in the mission! So yaaa pretty excited about that! ITs like a mini oven so we can cook more crap in it!! So me and Peery are way happy about that! Also on Thursday we had lunch with the richest member in QCNM and then for dinner we got paid free a all you can eat buffet that was classy as crap!! They had steak! So you can bet that I got my hands on some of that steak! Hahah I love being in Fairview! Sometimes its like America like its great! But then there are times when yep this is defiantly the Philippines! haha! But this area is just awesome and is just getting better! We also found this new INV this week! Don, I honestly feel like he was prepared to receive our message!! And he wants to know more and more! We taught him and found him on Saturday and we were like when can we come back? And he was like I want you to come tomorrow and teach my wife too! So I hope every thing works out with him and I can see him getting baptized too! But I will prob be transferred by the time that happens! Also Madike family is doing really good! We just need to finish all the lessons by the 26! And its coming up! Its next Saturday! So lets hope and pray that every thing goes okay!! Every thing is going good for me! Me and my comp are loving it so much and he really is a great missionary and a great friend!! Also my kabahay elder Peery is dope too! We always have deep talks about every thing and he is way funny too! haha! So I will be sad when I have to transfer from Fairview, and transfers are soon too!! Crazy I am almost done training!! So yeah hope you have a good week!! Love ya!

Hello Mother! Everything is OK Here!

Hello mother! Every thing is okay where I am at. Nothing to serious just some strong wind(knocked down trees and blown away houses) we didnt have electricity for 3 days so that kind of sucked pretty bad. Sorry I would have emailed earlier but no electricity hopefully it stays. But all is well with me and we stayed safe and sound. But I just want to let you know I am okay! Love you mom

Hello mother! How is it going!! Elder Guard looks  so good!! He lost so much weight in his last few weeks!! haha! I bet he did awesome with his talk! he was a good missionary! I hope you said hello to him from me! He still hasnt emailed me yet so I am a little butt hurt about that!

But that should be fun going to lake powell with the family!! I bet you guys are all excited for a little vacation with the fam!! I am jelly!! hehe make sure to tell everyone I said hello!! 

But how is it going? Hey sorry I accidentally over drafted some money cause I cant check how much I have without a fee so sorry...

This week was a good week for me and elder pedroza!! First off president Sperry left this week which was sad I really liked him and respected him a lot! But I bet elder Bertin will be just as good! But we had a follow up training on thursday so I got to say goodbye to them one last time and again thank him and his wife for all that they have done for this mission! So I will defiantly miss them! 

Also on that same Thursday we taught the Madike family! It was great!! We taught about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and committed him to be baptized!! He accepted and the date is July 26!! Which will prob be my last saturday here in Fairview!! So how cool is that! I am so excited for this family!! And then next year hopefully they will be able to get sealed!! And I will get to go cause I baptized them!! So lets hope every thing will continue to work out!!

I recieved my package and this week!! I was so happy to see all of the treats inside of it for me!! Thanks so much! 

Also on saturday we had a baptism for sister Myla! It was great and every thing went according to plan! She was way nervous and she got emotional about the whole thing! But it was still cool to see her be happy and become a member! She has got a lot of support from the ward as well! So lets hope she remains active haha!

This week was just a good week!! I got a package a baptism and me and elder Pedroza are continually progressing this area!! I love it! And I love my comp! He is awesome!! We get a long so well! It also helps that I have a blessing in my patriarchal blessing that says I will love my companions! And I have loved them all! 

But I heard USA made the group of 16 so that made me proud to be an AMERICAN!! plus the fourth of july is on Friday so me and my kabahay are going to celebrate and have a taco night!! hehe! YAYYY!! USA USA!! heha

Wa Wa Dam!!

Hello mother! How goes it! How are you doing? How is the fam? Thanks for the email this week! ANd no on package or letter but i dont get mail run until next week! So I will for sure get them then! Whats in side of them! Oh by the way I am sending a package home soon! I bought barrongs for all the boys and your nativity scene will be inside of it! But dont tell them its a surprise! Also there is a surprise for you that elder Guard has so dont forget to ask him for it when you see him! I will write letters when i get the stamps which wont be until next week so you wont get letters until next month! Sorry about that.. Sounds like all is well there! Let me know whats up! love ya

But every thing this week has been great! Me and elder Pedroza are doing way good! And we are having fun together to! So I have really enjoyed being his trainer! I hope he feels the same about me! But I think we lead the zone with number of lessons taught this week! So that was pretty awesome that we are doing that good haha! But every thing is just going so good right now! We have a baptism this saturday of this girl and then hopefully next month we will have another one too! And I am hoping it will be the Madike father so sana! heehe! But every thing is going good with him we taught him about the BOM this past week and his daughter Sheryl bore a dope testimony to him about how she knew that it was true! So that was really cool to see that she was wanting to let her father know how she felt about the Gospel so that was a really cool experience! Also he came to church on sunday so that was also good! The only problem we have is we only go to him once a week but the wife wants us to go twice but he wants time to really think about what we teach so so far its only once a week! so if he does get baptized then it might not be by me so that will be sad.. Oh well whats important is that he becomes a member and then they get sealed in the temple! I am just glad I can say I started that work haha! But yeah every thing is going so good for me! I love this area so much so I will be sad when I transfer but thats okay! I will go where I am needed! 

But let me tell you about our PDAY! We went to this freaking cool place called Wawa Dam!! It was so cool!! Like holy cow it was beautiful! Like it was clear up in the Mountains with all this green jungle and mountains and rivers and MOUNTAINS!! It was so cool! Really one of the best pdays I have had! I took a lot of pictures but I will unfortunately have to send them next week cause I dont want to risk getting a bug and then loosing all of my pics again haha! But picture the movie avatar and thats like where we were it was cool! Plus we ran into some of the Philippine army in the mountains who the other day got into a battle with a rebel group like right where we were! haha but it really was like the coolest and prettyest place!! It was awesome! Next week I will send lots of pics!!
